Dutch Oven Cobbler

  • 2 #2 1⁄2 cans fruit or pie mix (peaches, apples, cherry)
  • 1 box white or yellow cake mix
  • 1⁄4 pound butter

Line Dutch oven with heavy-duty aluminum foil. Place fruit in bottom of the oven. Cover with cake mix and level it. Cut butter into 8-10 pieces and scatter across the top of the cake mix. It is ready to bake. Let bake for 30 minutes and then check cobbler. Adjust cooking time from then on till done. Makes about 10 servings.

Charcoal Hints:
Use a 12" deep Dutch oven and the 3up/3 down cooking method.
