Cheesy Apple Crisp

  • 6 med apples
  • 1/4 c water
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 c flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c butter
  • 1-1/2 c grated cheese

Peel, core and slice apples.  Arrange slices in shallow greased baking dish.  Add water and juice.  Mix sugar, cinnamon, flour and salt. Work in butter to form a crumbly mixture.  Add cheese.  Spread over apples and bake 350° till apples are tender and crust is crisp, 30-35 minutes.  Serve with whipped cream
