Biscuits

  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 1⁄2 cup milk or water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1⁄2 cup shortening

Combine all dry ingredients. Work in shortening and gradually add milk. Knead and pinch off desired amount. Place in a greased Dutch oven and bake for 15-20 minutes at 325 degrees.

Charcoal Hints:
Use a 12" or 14" Dutch oven and use the 3up/3down method with the 2/3 cooking time.
