Baked Apples

  • 8 apples
  • 1cup raisins
  • 1 cup sugar or brown sugar
  • 1⁄4 pound butter
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon or allspice
  • Water

Wash and core apples. Mix raisins, sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Place mixture in cored apples. Add a dab of butter to top of each apple. Place apples in a pie plate that has been raised off the bottom of the oven a little bit. Cover and bake apples for 15-20 minutes until apples are tender. Let cool 5 minutes and serve. Makes 8 servings.

Charcoal Hints:
Use a 12" Dutch oven and the 3up/3down method of cooking.
