30 06 hunting rifles
what kind of 30.06 should i get for my new hunting rifle?
i have 400$ and im 14 and i have no idea on what kind to get my dad is dead so i cant ask him and i have no one else to ask that is reasonable on prices

I am not sure how you will be able to purchase a rifle without an adult’s assistance.
For hunting, I prefer a solid bolt action. Less chance of a jam. I have a Remington seimi-auto, and I would never take it out in the field. Also, a bolt action is safer for a young hunter. The Remington 700 and Winchester Model 70 are both fine rifles. I prefer to carry my Winchester because it is a little lighter (black synthetic stock).
If you don’t mind my asking, at your age, are you sure you can handle a 30-06? It does have some kick to it. Not sure I could have handled it when I was 14. You might want to consider a 243. That works on deer and has less kick.
